Words Alive

Through its outreach programs, Words Alive provides integrated literacy programming for students and families.

Since 2010, I have volunteered my time and design services to Words Alive, a literacy non-profit based in San Diego.

Words Alive Annual Report

Summary: Fundraising piece providing an overview of the literacy non-profit’s impact

Project Description: Words Alive wanted a fresh look for their Annual Report that conveyed the vibrancy of their organization while providing key information in an easy-to-read format. I make use of their high-contrast company colors (blue and orange), using them as accents to draw the eye across the page.

Word Alive Program Posters

Summary: These program posters provide key information about each program Words Alive conducts.

Project Description: These posters were designed to hang on the walls at the Words Alive office, serving as an easy visual breakdown of what Words Alive does in the community.

Word Alive Rack Card

Summary: Awareness tool providing key facts about the organization

Project Description: This marketing piece was created to be used at events. The organization had a lot of information they needed to convey in this piece, so the information is juxtaposed with lively colors and contrast in order to keep looking exciting without feeling too dense and wordy.

Words Alive Infographic

Summary: Key tool used by organization to articulate communities served and impact

Project Description: Words Alive needed a graphic that could be used across multiple media that described the importance of reading.
